There are pictures for this blog but they aren’t uploading due to internet… they will be up as soon as possible…

Throughout this race we have done a plethora of different
ministries, each with their own special importance and investment in the
Kingdom of God. Something I continue to realize more and more is the importance
in helping, being a support system for those that do that ministry day in and
day out for their life.  Since being in
Malaysia we have cleaned kitchens, windows, floors etc. at a hospital for the
blind.

We have fed the homeless at a soup kitchen.

We have raised money at a hospital for heart surgeries.

We helped a lady paint her house; seemingly insignificant
but it made the world of a difference to her and she was beyond thankful.

We did street ministry the other night and had the
opportunity to walk around with a married couple from Mississippi who have
lived here 3 years and have been doing ministry there for 5 years.  They have been building relationships with
these prostitutes and homeless for 5 years.
These relationships don’t happen over night, it takes time to build that
trust, build a relationship and begin a friendship.  I loved being able to watch them love on
their street friends, talk to them about their life over seas, things that they
have learned, and be in constant prayer while we walked around and loved the
least of these.

The other day while I was cleaning
out a nasty refrigerator at the blind hospital, I was thinking about how so not
glamorous the job I was doing was.  Most
people who go on missions’ trips want to be directly involved in the miracles,
they want to be changing lives and seeing the change happen in front of their
eyes.  God doesn’t always work that
way.   A lot of times ministry looks like
coming beside someone, partnering with them, being a friend and doing the dirty
jobs that they never have chance to do.
By doing the jobs that aren’t as pretty it frees them up to do something
more glamorous.

            The people
that we meet, they are there everyday, doing what they feel God has called them
too.  Sometimes in the midst of all the
ciaos and busyness, little things get over looked and sometimes they just need
a break.  Ministry sometimes looks like
being Jesus to people by just serving them.
It looks like doing things so they don’t have to.  Serving them so that they can do something
great for the kingdom.  Being the backbone
for someone’s ministry so that they can be the face, the arms, and the
legs.  In doing all of these things, we
are showing people Jesus by the way that we live and the way that we serve.  We have the opportunity to hang out with and
support amazing people with amazing stories.
We are able to come along side of them and hear their stories, hear what
God has taught them, how God has used them.
Its amazing because it has showed
me that no matter what you are doing you can be doing ministry and no matter
what you are doing you are doing what the Lord has called you to do, Loving God
and Loving your neighbor as yourself.
Watching other people in their life ministry, their calling, makes me
excited to go home.  I am soaking up
every last minute of this trip, but I also know that the Lord is calling me to
something greater for His Kingdom, my Kingdom dream, my ministry that I am
going to do day in and day out.  I know
that whatever that is, I am currently being pruned, shaped, molded and learning
things that are going to enhance my ability to make that dream a reality, make
that ministry beam of the Lords Love, radiate His grace and mercy and extend
His friendship to everyone we come in contact with.   Thanks for all your prayers and support throughout
this journey.  Praying for all of you and
love you so much.
