It seems like the simplest things in our lives are those in which we tend to take for granted…. And yet, I have started to realize after a nearly a year of traveling the globe that the most incredibly unique gifts also tend to be taken for granted when we are healthy, happy, and all of our basic needs are taken care of. Over the last month in Ukraine we have been apart of a ministry that provides free eye glass clinics to anyone is the community. This involves a free eye exam and a free pair of glasses. This was such a simple ministry, but had such a huge impact on its participants. It was incredible to watch people light up with joy when putting on their new pair of glasses for the first time – they walked with pride and a new found confidence. Helping to restore sight for those with no financial way to support this need- gave me new eyes to see and appreciate God’s gift of sight & the joy of seeing his creation daily.
