Fear of failing has kept me away from taking risks in the past. I am witness to many individuals in my life who tend to focus on the potential harm that may arise from a future event, rather than the fruit it will bear. If fear oppresses the passion that lives within us, then what are we living for?
I will be leaving the country in 7 weeks, and continue to be in awe of the emotions I feel when following Him away from comfort, security and familiarity. I have been trying to prepare myself for some of the hardest moments in my life – saying goodbye to my family and friends, leaving a job & company that I love, traveling to unfamiliar environments, and being put in situations where my heart will be broken daily.
Although there are countless things that can let fear and anxiety creep back into my life, I have an incredible amount of peace at this time. Through faithful obedience, I have already begun to see the fruit of following the Lord in total trust. Below are some of the amazing ways that God is working in my life already……
God Through my Co-Workers
This journey has brought out a side of my co-workers that has truly been incredible to watch. Wether He is working through genuine small talk, prayer, sharing words of wisdom, or generous financial support – I have had the honor of witnessing love and incredible selflessness through this group of people.
God Through Community
God has designed the most amazing team of individuals to call my family for the next year. My team consists of 60 individuals who are overflowing with the the selfless desire to serve. Together we have experienced what it means to be redeemed and truly trust. He has used our unique experiences and personailities to grow each other and speak life into each other. I am so blessed to travel with this group!
God Through Family & Friends
I see God moving though my family and friends in incredible ways. They have spent countless hours in prayer, special projects, and fundraising. Their strength and love keeps me going.
I can’t wait to see how God will work in the Nations and I am excited for you to follow our journey! I encourage YOU to take that one Risk that has been burning inside you… and see what fruit grows in your life. It is worth it!
