Training Camp

Yesterday I was really missing not only home, but the people from
home who lead me spiritually and build me up everyday. My sister,
Stacie, is a huge encourager in Christ to me and I was getting so
discouraged just thinking about how I won’t have her (amongst all my
other loved ones) this next year when I need them. Her favorite animal
is a butterfly; she’s absolutely obsessed with them. Well, as I was
sitting in the field with my group, suddenly a beautiful butterfly came
right up and landed on my foot! It stayed for a while and then flew all
around me, landing on me again. As it repeated this a few times, it
dawned on me. God whispered to my heart that He’s got this. He’s taking
care of Stacie and He will take care of me. He calmed my soul that she
will still be praying for me and loving me. And as we were about to work
on team building, He reminded me that He will give me people in my team
to encourage and guide and support me spiritually. The butterfly was
flying around me, and I was literally feeling the peace of God
surrounding me as this happened 🙂
