As the next leg of the
race begins, we’ve been assigned new teams. Team changes are not easy, as any changes is not easy. I had an amazing last 3 months getting to serve with, cry
with, laugh with, and love with the ladies and gentlemen of Umoja. We’ve grown
to be like a family as God brought us together in unity. I’m so thankful to know these guys and catch a glimpse into their hearts. I know they will each be such blessings to the next team they are a part of.

Team Umoja (minus Nathan Salley, our fearless leader). I love you guys!

Lately, a consistent theme amongst our squad has been living
in step with the heartbeat of God. It’s our desire to abandon the cadence of
this world, and live according to the beat of our Father’s heart. My new team had several confirmations that this concept is what we want to be defined as, what our team name should reflect. So here’s introducing team PULSE ….

Chad Riley

Chad is my new team leader! He has a fun loving
personality mixed with such a maturity that makes it easy to follow him. He
reminds me of a combination of Mr. Bob and my Dad – the efficiency and straight
forwardness of Mr. Bob combined with the humor and goofiness of my Dad. I
respect Chaddycakes a lot. His heart is ever seeking for the Lord to speak.

 Kirsten George

Kirsten is a former member of Koinonia, whom I was blessed to be able to work with for the past two months. She has such a
courageous heart, a warrior’s spirit. She doesn’t tolerate the schemes of evil
and I’m so pumped to learn from the courage she has found in the Lord. God has
blessed her with an outstanding talent in art, which she gives back to Him in
using it for His glory. She makes me laugh. A lot
.

Lili Mejia

Lili Mejia is such a sweet girl who is always ready to serve
in any way possible. She is my age, but truly has wisdom beyond her years. She
has a gentleness that brings peace. She also gives lots of back massages and is
a super good cook J
I’m really excited to get to know her better as we work together!
 Mary Hollis

Mary is also a former member of Koinonia. I absolutely
love Mary. She is real and genuine whenever she speaks to anyone. She truly is
an open vessel for the Lord to use, and boy does He use her! I’m excited for
all that I know I will learn from Mary Hollis. I also love the way she laughs.

 Anna Matthews

Anna Mathews is our Southern bell, she’s absolutely
adorable. She is such a social butterfly and makes friends wherever we go. I
love that about her and hope it rubs off on me as we get to spend more time
together. Anna is filled with words of life that she speaks over people. This
woman of God radiates the Spirit and her joy is contagious!
Tyler Samuelson

Tyler was on my last team, Umoja! I am so glad
that we are on the same team again, as I continually learn so much from him.
Tyler is like the brother I never had; he sincerely cares and is a trustworthy
friend. He’s also not afraid to bring me challenges for further growth.
