I AM HERE! Hi everyone! I’m stoked to post this blog from my very first country, Serbia. There’s so much happening so in order to make more sense of everything going on I would like to give you one highlight, one fun fact, and one prayer request for each day I have been in Serbia so far. Here we go!
September 11
Highlight: Arrived in our town! Sombor, Serbia.
Fun fact: We had to pay to use the restroom at the bus station.
Prayer Request: Pray that our team would adjust well and embrace our ministry fully!

(Our squad leaving the Atlanta airport!)
September 12
Highlight: The church hosted a welcome party for our team and we were able to meet and connect with many of the people who attend the church we are partnering with this month.
Fun Fact: Serbian names are extremely hard to pronounce!
Prayer Request: Pray for the connections we are making with these people so that we can bless them immensely with the love of Christ.
September 13
Highlight: We had a team lunch together and continued creating unity in our team so that as we love one another in Jesus we can be better examples to those around us who are looking for Him.
Fun Fact: Our Serbian church has their service Sunday evening instead of Sunday morning like I am use to in the States.
Prayer Request: I am doing the children’s program with my teammate Marissa every Sunday that we are here. Please pray that we would be able to incorporate both biblical truths and fun into each Sunday school evening that we teach this month.

September 14
Highlight: We went to a nearby town with several Serbians who are our age in order to build relationships with them. Some who came with us are Christians and some are not. We also went on a horse pulled carriage ride which I loved!
Fun Fact: A common meal in Serbia seems to be stew. The stew that we ate still had the bones in it and we had to pick them out as we ate.
Prayer Request: Please pray for the spiritual conversations that have already taken place and the ones that need to take place in order to plant seeds here in Sombor.

September 15
Highlight: We were invited over to a home of a church member and she made us very delicious pancakes! They are very thin and had homemade jam inside.
Fun Fact: European cafes hold up to all the stereotypes I have heard. They are extremely cute and super fun to sit in while reading the bible or writing a blog.
Prayer Request: Today we were chopping wood for a church member in order to bless her and our team leader, Mark, fell on an axe when trying to remove it from a piece of wood. Thankfully, the cut just barely bruised his leg muscle and did not cut into the quad. Please be praying for his healing. Pray that through this, our team would have the opportunity to reach others (like doctors who were in the hospital room) for the Lord.

Sending my love to each of you from across the ocean. I appreciate the prayers and look forward to how God will work miracles in Sombor, Serbia through Team Joyful Noise. May His name be praised!
