So many changes coming from every direction! I’m excited to fill you in because with all of the new, comes many new opportunities from the Lord.
For starters, our time in the Philippines ended wonderfully. We had the chance to put on a performance for the entire town of Bulacan in their plaza. We performed dances and pantomimes explaining the gospel. It has been a really long time since I’ve been able to perform specifically to share Christ and I thrived. Honestly, I would love to have another time in the future to do those skits again.
Praise report: it was estimated that at the end of our performance approximately 30 people came forward to receive Jesus as their Savior for the very first time!!
Saying goodbye to the church we worked with in the Philippines was really hard. It was awesome to make so many connections with the young people in that community. From the Philippines, we flew to Malaysia for our month eight debrief where we added two more members to our team. We are now a full team of seven and stoked for what God wants to do with our group.
Once our team was put together, we found yet another change that would be taking place: instead of serving the rest of the month in Malaysia, our team was asked to travel up to Cambodia in order to work with a Christian Hostel being run by missionaries. We began our 35 hour journey on the last day of March and were given permission to stop halfway in order to see one of the beautiful beaches in Phuket, Thailand. I loved it there! Beaches are always a home away from home for me. It was very refreshing to spend 3 days in Phuket before continuing to ministry in Cambodia. The Lord and I had some awesome conversations about what it means to finish this Race strong and then to continue strong as it comes to a close.
Today we have just arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I really don’t know what this month will exactly be like but I am expecting big things from God. I genuinely enjoy hospitality work like running a hostel for traveling adventurers. I look forward to see what this will be like since it is different from all the other ministries we have encountered so far.
As you can see a lot is happening but every change is a chance to see the Lord work! I’m thrilled to be a part of His plan in this way and very thankful for all of your prayers and messages you have sent my way! Much love to each and every one of you!!
