So… yesterday was Thanksgiving and today marks one month until my 25th birthday. It’s hard not to reflect on all the blessings I have been given during the last nearly 25 years of my life. I have been learning and growing so much as I continue to prepare for this upcoming adventure. God has been shaping me and preparing me and I am so excited for how He will continue to do that on the race. Tonight I want to just say thanks again.
For starters I am thankful for God. He is my Father and Creator, He sent Christ Jesus so that I can have eternal life, He loves me unconditionally, He sent Holy Spirit to dwell in me and help guide me, and also He reminds me that Jesus was the unblemished sacrifice for my sins, I am not perfect, I just need to keep seeking to be more like Jesus; my sins are covered. My debt is paid.
I am so thankful for my family. My family has loved me through up and downs and ins and outs of the last 24+ years. I love them so much even when they are on my last nerve or I am on their’s, we know that our love for one another will always hold strong. I am so blessed to have an immediate and extended family that are so caring and will stand by each other and help one another when times are tough. I am also thankful for the ways they help me grow and the support they have given me as I follow God’s call in my life. My Family ROCKS!
I am thankful for my new-ish World Race family (O and N Squads). These people encourage me and are there when I need to talk about life and things that are stressing me out or even minor things, like how on earth do you pack for one year in one bag! I love my World Race family!
I am thankful for my friends all over. God has blessed me with so many incredible friends over the years. I am so thankful to have so many people to share life with, whether it be the exciting or the mundane. I have learned SO MUCH through all these people God has placed in my life so far. I would not be the same person without these relationships, and it’s fun to look and see what God has or teaching me through different friendships.
I am all beyond thankful for all of my supporters!! It has been mind-blowing to see God work through so many different people to provide for this mission. I feel so blessed to be able to share this adventure with y’all! I am also thankful that y’all share in the mission to spread the Gospel. I look forward to continuing to share this journey with y’all when we hit the field in January. I can wait to share how God is moving in other parts of the Globe!
