This past week at debrief I was asked multiple times, “What has God been teaching you?” It was hard for me to find the words because God has worked in me in so many ways the past couple of weeks.
I’ve been working on creating spiritual norms for myself, this includes spending my mornings reading scripture and spending time in prayer. My team has recently been working on listening prayer together and some of us have been working on fasting.
Specifically this past week I’ve been looking at spiritual gifts. God has blessed me with many gifts and I want to use those gifts faithfully to serve others. I don’t want to be prideful, I want to be humble with what He’s given me to help further the kingdom.
Overall, I’ve been making my faith my own and have been diving deeper. I’ve come to realize that there’s always more and diving deeper into God is a never ending journey. This is not something to be overwhelmed about, it’s something to be excited about!
God always has more for me and I’m always just scratching the surface. He’s taught me more about Himself and through that He’s also taught me more about myself. I’m going to continue to dive deeper these next 6 weeks in Guatemala and I’m excited for what He all has for me.
“God’s gifts of grace come in many forms. Each of you has received a gift in order to serve others. You should use it faithfully.”
1 Peter 4:10
