stand up.

sweat.

pass out (because you’re extremely dehydrated and it’s not even funny).

sit down.

ah yes, life in cambodia.

my day normally starts out waking up to the beautiful sun and the beautiful monk chants and the beautiful view of zebus.

i walk downstairs at 6:30 am to see the men cooking breakfast (doughnuts) or team abundance cooking breakfast (spinach & onion eggs + fruit + bread).

i then get ready for ministry, and we head out the door on a very cute blue tuk tuk at 7:15 am.

my ministry consists of working in a library & cafe here in battambang! it’s quite slow most days but the atmosphere is filled with so much peace.

after my shift ends at 11:30 am, i head to lunch. normally this is curry, fried noodles with egg, or leftovers from the dinner before.

from lunch, gracie, lexi, abby, and i walk a few miles to gather ingredients needed for feeding a small army of 29. the market is a very interesting place. it’s filled with smells of sweet mango and rank fish, but the best part is 4 huge bags of veggies is normally under $5.

we head home and start chopping and stirring and dancing and singing. every dinner time is a dance recital and a concert all in one.

after dinner, we have various activities such as worship, sweating, hanging out, sweating, goofing around, getting ready for bed, and sweating.

life here in the bodes is slow, sweet, and sweaty.

thank you so much for reading this!

much love,
