Uganda

We started off the new year in Kampala Uganda with a bunch of crazy fun kids from SASCU (Save the Street Children Uganda)!  Our goal this month was to just love on the kids who live at SASCU, sometimes that looked like playing soccer, leading children’s games and songs, playing Scrabble, or just having intentional conversations with the kids and young adults.  All the kids at SASCU were once living on the streets of Kampala because they were either abused at home or they just simply didn’t have anywhere else to turn.  The staff at SASCU goes out into the community and talks with kids living on the streets to see if they would be a good fit for them.  My team and I really enjoyed getting to know the kids and encouraging them in their faith throughout the month.

Rwanda

We are now living just outside of in Nyagatare Rwanda in a house with our ministry host.  The entire month of February we will be doing a wide variety of things including teaching at a local school twice a week, visiting a hospital and praying for people, preaching on Thursdays and Sundays as well as playing with the local kids in the village!  I’m also with a new team of all girls again which I’m really excited about.  We are living in a rural part of Rwanda so it’s been really cool to see the African country side. Our host Pastor Fatier is great and makes us feel at home. We love doing life beside her everyday and getting to know her.  This is our home this month!
