So much has happened since the beginning of April, my mom came for a visit, we had team changes, and I’m officially in the homestretch of the race (Crazy!).
Thailand was amazing! My team was in the City of ChaingMai searching out ministry opportunities in the area. We ministered to the prostitutes in the bars at night and invited them to coffee with us during the day. This month looked like a lot of relationship building and setting up meetings with possible new world race hosts! Also my mom came for a visit! It was such a blessing to get to do ministry alongside her for a while!
Malaysia was the first month (June) with my new team “Pier Pressure”!
We started our month praying into what the Lord had for us and we ended up visiting a town called Kuantan Malaysia where we made friends with a local monk and he invited us to have breakfast with him and we ended up praying for him, he said a Buddhist blessing over us and we enjoyed getting to know him and blessing him in Jesus name as well.
After Kuantan we moved to Kapas Island and camped for a few days because the price was right (super cheap!). on the Island we made friends with an american missionary couple living in Malaysia and we ended up living with them for a few days at the end of June! They taught us so much about what it looks like to live life on mission and be the church in a completely Muslim country.
Also, while in Malaysia we visited Pastor Simon and his wife who minister at an Anglican church in Kota Bharu. We stayed with them for a week, and helped them clean up a building on their property so they can rent it out in the future. We also did some children’s ministry and praise dancing with them! They are a wonderful couple and we loved serving alongside them.
This is only a glimpse into our months in South East Asia! The Lord was with us all the way guiding our steps and bringing amazing people to us.
Thanks again for all the support and love! I will be home in a few short weeks, but look out for a few more blogs coming your way!
Love you all! Kori
