I have been in Europe for about 2 months now and I’m sorry I haven’t posted a blog about Albania yet (the whole month of March!) Life has been busy! In Albania I had the awesome privilege of working with “Way of Peace” church in Lushnje which also had and English school called “Victory School”.  The whole month of March we taught English by playing games and making conversation with school kids, it was really fun!

We also helped out at the church on Saturdays and Sundays working with the kids leading Sunday school lessons and games.  On Sunday mornings, we sang worship songs (yes I sang in front of people hard to believe I know) and gave testimonies about what the Lord is doing in our lives.  “Way of Peace church also holds prayer meetings out in the local villages, which we got to be a part of.  It was really cool to hear from the hearts of the ladies and be able to pray for them.  Also we got to know a lot of great people like Alma! Alma was like our mother, she was always there for us when we needed translation or just a warm hug.  The people of Albania are so very kind and hospitable! Alma invited us over to her home one evening to make Baklava!

Throughout our time in Albania we also got to hang out with the youth group from “Way of Peace”. They were such a fun group of kids with big hearts for the Lord.  It was just fun to be kids with them again, and learn about their lives in Albania.  These kids are some of the only Christians in their high school, we got the privilege of speaking truth in their lives and encouraging them to continue to pursue the Lord even when its not the popular thing to do. They truly are a great group of kids and we miss them so much!

On one of our last days at Victory School we had a party for all the kids! We got to lead them in some fun worship songs and play games with them, it was such a blast and all the kids really enjoyed it.  Our team worked really well together to plan the event, and with very few materials, i’m so proud of us! Here is a pic of that last day! That’s Alma sitting next to us holding Paige’s hand, we miss her so much!

We loved our time in Albania simply because we were loved so well by the people we were with, and that made it easy for us to love them in return.  Thanks so much Victory School and Way of Peace Church for welcoming us and letting be a part of your family.

Thanks for all the prayers and support friends and family! There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you, and feel such an immense gratitude for you in my heart! So if you have prayed for me, bought a T-shirt from me, sent me a Facebook message to encourage me, read my blog or sent me an email, Thank You!! It does not go unnoticed and you are greatly loved! 🙂
