Who am I? My Name is Kori. Im 26 years old. I went to Olivet Nazarene University and graduated with a bachelors degree in nursing in 2013. I love nursing and my job…most of the time πŸ˜‰ Im an aspiring world traveler with a heart and a passion for Jesus.

Where am I from? I Grow up and currently live in the small town of Gibson City IL population 3,407 (only one stoplight!).  I love the small-town atmosphere where there is always a friend around the corner to help you if you need it.

I also call Cissna Park IL (population 811) home as well! Cissna is where my family farms and where my aunt, uncle and grandma live πŸ™‚

My Family πŸ™‚

My family is super great! I love my parents dearly and Im so blessed that they are supporting me in this new adventure. I have an older brother who is lucky enough to have married a wonderful girl named Lauren whom I love dearly. Together they have my nephew Hudson who is 2 and is the cutest little boy you have ever seen!…but i guess im a little bias πŸ˜‰

Whats my passion?

Im passionate about my faith, I learned about Jesus as a child and my faith has grown since then. I am a child of the King and I cant wait to see how God changes me, grows me, and moves me (quite literally!) on the race!

Im also passionate about Nursing and helping those who are sick or in need. I love taking care of people and learning their stories. I especially love the older generation simply because they have some of the best stories and you can learn so much from them if you really take the time to listen.

I also have a new found love for missions and travel which i discovered in college after going on a mission trip to Argentina where I helped in medical clinics serving families who otherwise had little to no access to health care. God showed me during that trip what a huge impact just one team that is focused on Him can have on people. Im so excited about the Race and meeting this new team of people!

My Friends πŸ™‚

My best friend is Claren we went through nursing school together and she means the world to me! she is super awesome and loves going on adventures as well!

My college roommates are the girls that probably know me the best! Claren, Joy and Nicole were my go-to gals at ONU!

Im going to miss these girls so much during the Race im not sure what im going to do without them! We will have to keep in touch with postcards! πŸ˜‰

I cant wait to see that this next year holds for me and my team! My prayer is that God will guide our foot steps and make himself known to us along the way.
