So something incredible, and I mean incredible happened yesterday when I shared a piece of my story.  Something within me shifted, something shifted within my heart and within my whole being.  A piece of me was lost forever and the piece of me that was long gone was finally found.  There is a freedom in coming into the freedom that Christ freely gave out when He died on the cross.  A freedom so profound and life altering that it can’t be found in anything else except in the truth, glory and freedom of God.  It was a moment of humility, a moment of divinity, a moment of strength, and a moment of sheer thankfulness and love from the Holies of holies.

It was in that moment that I couldn’t fathom the beauty of the Lord but instead I felt it.  I felt who He was calling me to be and He was showing me the lies I believed.  The lies that I wasn’t good enough because of my past choices, the lies that my past choices define me, the lies that I must work for forgiveness.  If we are honest and truly looking into the depths of our hearts we will realize that we believe these lies all too easily and that it hinders us from truly walking in freedom.  Instead, we must declare the glory and truth of the Lord in every aspect of our lives.  The more we reflect on who we were and the mistakes we’ve made we will never become anything different.  Meditating and working to become who you never wanted to become will just reproduce who you didn’t want to become.  You must meditate on who God says you are.  You are holy, beautiful, and blameless. YOU ARE FORGIVEN.   When you meditate on who God says you are, you will reproduce what you meditate on and bear good fruit.

If you truly believe God is the Lord of all things and Creator of the universe confess your shortcomings and hardships to Him because He hears you.  God trusts you enough to allow you to use your past for His glory.  Do you believe who God says you are?  He wants to you use, He is waiting to use you.  The question is are you willing to be available for Him to use you?

Lord I pray that all who read this will be affirmed in Your love for them.  That they will know and understand Your greatness in the midst of our pain and realize who You have called them to be.  I pray that they will walk in the freedom that You provided on the cross and that they will know that they are not who they used to be.  In You and You alone they are free to walk in the redeeming power and love of Your great name.  I pray that they will walk into the destiny that You have laid out before them and they will boldly approach Your throne in the thankfulness and freedom of Your great name.  That they will know and understand that You provide not out of our needs but out of Your glory and riches in heaven and that that is a lot of glory and riches!!!
