Just a Few Days Ago, on October 26th, Daniel, an American missionary woke up around 3:00 am to find the wood pile by the door of his house up in flames. He quickly put out the fire only to realize that it had spread up to the roof. Within hours the house was engulfed in flames, before the fire fighters were able to fully contain it. Incredibly, the only completely untouched room in the house was the bedroom. They were able to salvage a good portion of clothes, however near everything else was destroyed.

Daniel and Janna have been missionaries in Ukraine for almost 7 years now. They run summer, fall break, and spring break camps for orphans and at risk children. They are involved in discipleship weekends for at-risk teen girls near the Chernobyl zone. Daniel and Janna are also aid in taking loads off the foster home parents by grocery shopping, providing clothes for the children, and also allowing the parents to get away for the evening to rest and relax by cooking them dinner and inviting them over to play board games. Other ways that they are helping bring Kingdom in Ukraine is by construction. Daniel helps build additions to foster homes in western Ukraine to be able to house more children in need. He’s even designed and created a rope’s course and climbing wall for the orphan shelter house. This is only a small portion of their every day endeavors in Ukraine.

Aside from the every day inconveniences of not having a place to call their “home” now, Daniel and Janna are on a very long road ahead of them to rebuilding and starting over. My prayer is that you would consider helping them get back on their feet!

When asking what would be some tangible ways to help them financially, tangibly, and immediately, this is what was shared with us!

Because the Ross’ are so passionate about home ministry and have a heart of hospitality, one of the collections they were sad to find completely destroyed was their game collection. So we thought we could begin a fundraiser to replenish this stash to bring into their temporary home to continue ministry in one of their favorites ways! Here is a link to an Amazon wish list of games that they lost! If you feel led to donate in this way, please use the link below. There is a shipping address built into the website to the home of Daniel’s cousin, Suzanne Pingel in Pampa, Texas (SMALL WORLD, RIGHT?!) This link is also helpful because you can see what has already been bought and what else needs to be purchased. However, if there are other games you would like to include, by all means, go ahead! These are just ones in their previous collection we would like to replace. Once Suzanne receives the games she will be shipping them overseas seeing that many of these games are not available to purchase in Ukraine! If you would like to be a part of this fundraiser, please click HERE!

Secondly, HERE is a link to a PayPal for reconstruction efforts of the house. They are starting completely over on housing. A ballpark estimate to start from the ground up would be around $50,000. If you’re passionate about housing or are burdened by their housing situation and you feel led to donate financially, here’s an opportunity! This is an overall link for housing funds, and also to help buy some of the items they lost. Like bathroom supplies, kitchen items that couldn’t be salvaged, etc.

If you have any questions, please don’t hestitate to ask me, or if you have other ideas on how you would like to help them based on your own passions and skills, please please please contact me!

Thank you so much for investing in bringing Kingdom all over the world.
