Written about a week ago:

I cannot believe how fast these last 4 months have gone by. It seems that, not long ago, my team was mourning our departure from Cambodia and all the places and people that now mean so much to us. Now, here we are again, struggling to believe the inevitable, trying to grasp what we cannot quite understand. We are on our 2nd to last travel day, which consists of a long bus ride from Nicaragua to Costa Rica. It’s unreal to me that it’s been a month since leaving Africa. There is so much more to share about my time there, so I wanted to give you some of the highlights.

While there, I experienced so many amazing things:

  • The freedom that comes from stepping out in vulnerability and boldness
  • Brokenness, hopelessness, and defeat lifted off by the prayers of my peers
  • Physical and mental healings by God
  • Pure joy in being able to be completely myself
  • One of the most beautiful skies I’ve ever seen! I walked out of the training center on the night of Christmas Eve to the most stars I’ve ever seen. It was beautiful.
  • Seeing my friends grow in who God is making them to be
  • Having a blast with my new family. I love them!!

There were so many good things and hard things that happened in Ethiopia. I still have one more blog to post about it, and it’s one of my favorites so far!!! Keep an eye out for it!!!

Hello internet folk, friends, and family! I fly home on at the very end of May! Absolutely crazy!

For 5 days of June, the Racers have an opportunity to come back to Gainesville, Georgia to the Base for Project Searchlight. We will have sessions about how to readjust to life at home and encouraging us to continue living out what we learned.

I have to pay for the majority of these flights by myself, and at the moment it looks like it’ll cost around $1,100. If you’d like to donate to lessen the cost, you can email my dad at

[email protected]

*Don’t give on my blog site, because the donation won’t go to me*

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me already!!!!

Also, my squadmate and friend Madi is still fundraising! She only needs $700 and it would be SO awesome if you could help her out! She is amazing and God is doing incredible things in her life! You can donate on her blog:
