I know today its all too trendy to say, “I want to change the world.”  Some people feel lost in the size of that statement, others take charge and plan strategies on how to do so.  But its amazing that we all have that instinct that aches to see positive change in the lives of the people around us. I think that instinct was purposefully placed there for dreams.

A dream starts as an idea that sits in your mind waiting to be awakened at the right moment.  In time, we will be in awe of how beautiful it is, better than anything we could have ever imagined.  (Sounds like a dessert commercial…) But, we know the time in between isn’t as easy as it sounds.  The tension between patience and control can feel frustrating, confusing, or be testing of our abilities.  All to realize eventually we were never meant to as big as the dream itself.  These are God dreams.

God dreams inspire Kingdom plans, plans to influence, plans to reach the lost and lonely, plans to love the hurting, plans to heal the broken, plans to lead people to Jesus.

This race is an opportunity of a lifetime. An opportunity to been the hands and feet of Christ in the most unreached areas of the world. An opportunity to be radically impacted for forever.  But without you, without the rest of the church body actively playing a part there’s no movement. Because together we are many parts but one Body. With one voice we accomplish the God dreams.

“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the others parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”  Ephesians 4:16

I don’t know what to expect this next year.  Or at least the next 11 months as a missionary will look like.  But will you step out into the unknown God sized dream with me? Your prayers will make the impossible possible, the language barrier less of a barrier, the closed off people open to conversations and acts of love, and the power of the Holy Spirit will enable us do the GREATER works of Jesus.

“Truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12
