So many words could be used describe Annie Lobert.

Former Prostitute. Missionary
Former Addict. Hands and Feet of Jesus
Abandoned. Forgiven.
Slave. Redeemed

So many words.

But the thing with her story, a story of brokeness, pain, and prostitution/slavery, is that it ends with redemption. It ends with forgiveness. It ends with freedom. All because of Jesus.

Annie was in a lonely, sad, and broken place in her lifehttp://www.iamsecond.com/seconds/annie-lobert/. A place that is far too often experienced by people everywhere. In a moment, she surrendered to Jesus because she that there was a chance. It was a moment that couldn’t have come a second later. Annie had overdosed and was moments from death. But there she cried out to the Jesus she wasn’t even sure loved her. But she knew there was a chance. She cried out and He saved her. He redeemed her and gave her a new life. A life that glorifies Him.

But what if no one had told her? What if she didn’t know there was even a chance that Jesus loved her? She was moments from death. She should have been dead.

Christ

Christ breathed a new life into her.

He changed her.
Set her free.
Redeemed her.
Because someone told her.

Because she knew that maybe, just maybe there was a God who had a different plan for her life.

As I listened to her story, one of my original reasons for applying for the World Race overwhelmed me. There are people that don’t know.

They don't know.

They don’t know that Christ says they are worth LIFE. They don’t know that Christ says they are beautiful. They don’t know that Christ says there can be hope, joy, love, and peace. They don’t know. No one has told them.

Too many people live in the place that Annie lived in. A place of desperation and despair. And too many people don’t know that Christ came.

To show love. To break the chains. To redeem. To save their lives.
And to give them a new life.

So I go. Because too many people don’t know. What if no one had told Annie? What if Annie hadn’t known in that moment that her life was worth something more?

People say that you can’t make a difference in just one month. But one if in that one month you have a conversation with someone who didn’t know? What if in that one conversation, you let someone know that Christ came to give them life? What if that one conversation will save that life years later? What if?

I go because they NEED to know.
11 countries; 11 months
Because everyone needs to know.

Jesus loves you. Jesus died for you. Jesus has forgiven and redeemed you, if only you give your life to Him. Jesus has called you worthy.

Do you know? You need to know. They need to know.
