We are well into month 4 on the race all ready. So crazy how fast time has gone. On the race, days and weeks might take forever but months fly by and that sure has been the case. Some weeks I wonder if I will ever make it through the entire 11 months but then I realize that I am already three and a half months into this thing!
Our team with two other teams are serving in Draganesti-Olt; however, our team was chosen to be a mobile team for the first ten days and we got moved to a village called Stoenesti. We were living and serving with a church in the village. Our ministry varied from children's ministry to feeding ministries to community outreach but mostly we did street evangelism. Romanians like to sit outside their gates and just be. They can spend hours out there, talking with neighbors, playing games, or just observing others. We spent at least two hours a day walking around villages handing out tracks and talking with these people. We have found that these communities are under a big oppression and it is usually led by the orthodox church here. It was difficult to feel like we were making an impact but by the end of our time in Stoenesti we knew we had made an impact. On our last night at the church, a member of our team even led a man to the Lord. Praise Jesus!
We have now moved back to Draganesti-Olt and will be doing various ministries here til we move north for debrief. Check out where we were living in Stoenesti below!
