So Here we are in the last week of month 7 in Cambodia, The Lord has moved mightily here and our team has seen some very tangible fruit from our ministry but right now what I’m going to do is take you back and reflect and share with you about our time in Thailand.

There we were, P-squad all 45 or so of us waiting in the Bangkok airport ready to be picked up to drive through the night on a 12 hour bus ride to Chang Mai. Personally I am not a big fan of travel days, main reason being is my height and I can’t sleep in a moving vehicle. But I guess when your tired enough, you just tend to pass out and that’s what happened to me. I laid on the floor in the aisle way and drifted off to sleep and next thing I know I’m waking up as we’re pulling into the Chaing Mai bus station just after day break, you learn to sleep anywhere on the world race. But that bus aisle was a bad idea, I was sore all over, it felt as if I got hit by a truck……..Don’t sleep in the aisle way on a bus, It’s a bad idea!
Thailand would look a little different from the previous months on the race, I believe everyone was coming into a new season and leaving one behind. After Nepal there was a shift in the squad and a fresh new wind with the Holy Spirit. People were excited again to be on the race, including myself. Nepal was my worst month on the race personally …….. But I was done being beat down and I made a decision to move forward out of my stinking thinking and was ready to see God move in a mighty way through me and my squad mates.  Also during this month of ministry, the men and women would be separated. That would only mean one thing!!!
MAN-istry, you may ask yourself what is MAN-istry…..that’s when the men on a squad minister and live together for the month separate from the ladies. I thought Thailand was the perfect month for our squad to have MAN-istry month. Reason being, the P-squad ladies would be on the front lines combating the local sex trafficking industry by developing rapport and building relationships with the prostitutes of Chaing Mai. Not exactly a good environment to send a bunch of guys. So God had other plans for the mighty men of P-Squad.
Mighty men, that’s what I believe God says we are. But all was not well with the men of our sqaud, We were not acting like mighty men of God. I saw from the very start of the month there was a division among all the guys, I thought the sqaud took a turn for the best but that’s not what was happening. I saw the main sin of “Adam” rearing its ugly head in all of us guys….”passivity” seemed like it was hitting us all. I personally was extremely frustrated with how we were all acting and I knew all of us men needed to get our act together and trust God to bring us out of our funk and start walking like mighty men of God.
The next couple of weeks were a God send, The Lord led all of us guys out of the city and into the wilderness of Thailand. Our second ministry location was in the middle of a jungle where we would hunker down in a man cave and hash out our differences, and work together as a unit clearing brush and trees around a pond. We finally started to act like men and there we would start to sharpen each other. I believe God started to work out his plan in all of us.
During our week in the jungle, I kept having a recurring dream that my friend and team leader Andy Frasure was leaving the world race. That indeed turned out to be a prophetic dream from The Lord. Our last night in the Thailand jungle Andy addressed all of us guys that The Lord was calling him off the race to go to ministry school back in the states and would indeed be leaving the world race. After we got back to the city we received our next ministry site for the month. A lot of us thought we would stay in the city for the remainder of Thailand but God had different plans for the men of p-sqaud! After Andy left we would be heading to a village 4 hours from Chang Mai….. little did we know what God had in store for all of us.
So to end the month in Thailand we would spend it in continuing to sharpen each other and pour into one another’s life as men, The men were different from the 1st part of the month. I saw a new hope and faith. Also with Andy leaving it brought a different dynamic to the team. And different men had to step up. The Lord did some amazing things in that village, He bonded us together as brothers and used us in a mighty way for His kingdom. One night we were invited to a bible study in the village where some local believers gathered. So we spent hours worshiping with them and going through a bible study and at the end of the bible study God impressed on me to pray for a little quiet Thai lady sitting on the otherside of the room, her left arm was in a sling and she told us she was in a lot of pain and didn’t have any motion in her arm. We asked if she could stand in the middle of the room while everyone else layed hands on her and prayed for a miracle. God healed that sweet woman and took her arm out of that sling …..I couldn’t believe my eyes. She had a real encounter with Jesus and so did all the others that were prayed for. The faith of the p-sqaud men changed that room that night, our faith pleased God. Hebrews 11:6 says And with out faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that He rewards those who seek him.  The only words that I could think of how to describe that night, are this: The FAITH OF MEN move mountains!!!

    Proverbs 27:17

   Iron sharpens iron

    and one man sharpens another.
