(Excuse my terrible grammer and punctuation)
God’s Voice, What does it sound like? Is it loud? Does He shout and yell? Is it angry or mean? I don’t think so. I believe it’s a still small quiet voice that comes in a whisper.
Our Savior is a gentleman that will never force Himself on anyone, but will always give us the invitation. For a long time I have been praying and asking God to hear Him clearly and recognize when The Lord is speaking to me.
Why don’t we hear Him? I believe it’s because we choose not to and we want the noise and distractions instead. So what happens when we eliminate these distractions and the noise of this world? When you shut off your phone, leave your watch at home and throw your computer out the window. (Not literally)
You hear His whisper, or at least I did.
2 weeks ago, the journey began for me and hundreds of other son’s and daughters of God. World Race Training Camp commenced for all of us in the woods of White, Georgia. We came in from all over the United States and even the World, seeking one common goal. “The Heart of God” and to be refined by His fire.
You may ask, what happens at World Race Training Camp? We’ll I can’t tell you everything. Some of you will just have to find out for yourselves, and some of you others will never know. But what I can tell you is this:
- You will be wrecked by God’s glory and forced out of your comfort zone to face your deepest fears and insecurities.
- You will cry, and I’m not talking a couple of stray tears. I’m talking you will weep. God will open the flood gates in your tear ducts. I remember one night during worship; I stood there and wept like a baby while God poured out His love and Holy Spirit on me! It was awesome!!!
- You’re going to eat less in a week than you ever did before and when you do eat most of the food will be pretty strange.
- Complete and utter strangers will become dear family to you.
- You will be sleep deprived and delirious at times.
- God will absolutely meet you there, wherever you’re at.
- You will come face to face with your own selfishness and learn to put others needs before your own.
- God will pour out His Spirit on you like never before, choose to embrace it!
Before I came to training camp I believed the lie that God’s love had turned away from me, from some things I’ve done and how I’ve acted at times but in that moment while worshiping the one who created the heavens and the earth I was reminded that I am an adopted son of God. There is nothing we can or can not do to make the Father’s love turn away from us. I am His forever and He’s proud of me.
During this week of laying down your life for the kingdom, you will experience heaven coming to meet earth in so many powerful ways. Get ready to have a “Holy Ghost party just about every night your there because Jesus knows how to party!!!
Best of all, you will hear the sweet voice of our Great God and Savior. You’ll hear “His whisper” and your life will never be the same.
