At the end of Thailand, the inevitable came. Team Changes. After month 3, new squad leaders and team leaders are raised up which results in a need to rearrange teams. Throughout the duration of my month in Thailand, thoughts of if and how my team would change were regularly on my mind. I had grown very comfortable with my team of 4 other soul sisters. I felt like they were really getting to know me, especially my spunky and goofy side. We had grown so accustom to living daily life with one another. They not only were my World Race family and teammates, but my friends. Instead of being sad all month about the possibility of our team separating, I simply chose to enjoy the moments we had with one another. Soon enough though, I knew we would be transitioning into a new season on the race. I prepared my heart in the best way I knew how: trust God in everything. I went into our “mini debrief” with the healthy expectation of change. I decided I would choose to embrace whatever God had planned.
Team norm #367-Eat pancakes in every country. Last breakfast as a team 🙂

My team did change and I won’t lie, it was hard. Tears were shed as I sat before the Lord and reminisced all the memories I shared with the amazing women of Favored 414. I recalled our first separation from the entire squad in the DR as we crammed into a van with our first contact family. I thought about the meal we had day 1 of ministry: pizza with ham and corn. Corn on pizza? Hey, it was pizza and we were so happy! I recalled our tear-filled goodbyes with our amazing hosts, Juan and Alba, and how badly we did not want to leave them. The memories we made were so rich and so special. These girls chose to love me every day for 3 months and I am incredibly grateful for how God used them to bless my life.
My new team, "Just LOVE"

Month 4 is here and it’s a new season. I’m on a team with 6 women who are all passionate for Jesus. Their zeal and fervor for the Lord has blown me away. I’ll be honest and say that sometimes it feels a little weird and uncomfortable to be on a new team. I’ve been told this is normal. My new team has given me complete freedom to say, “I miss my old team.” Though it was difficult to part ways with my Favored soul sisters, I am eager and excited for the following months spent with team, “Just Love.” We desire for the love of God to overflow in and through us as we serve the Nations as well as one another.
Ministry update: We’ve spent the past week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia helping a pastor and his family move houses as well as prayer walk around the city, clean and organize a church office, and simply rest and spend time getting to know one another. Since we’ve been staying at a hostel, there have been many awesome opportunities to share the love of Christ with our POD mates along with the hostel staff. I can’t forget to mention…we’ve been sleeping in amazing, comfy BEDS along with HOT showers and A.C.!! It’s been glorious. Oh, there’s also 2 super cute coffee shops/cafe’s as well as a delicious Indian restaurant on our street. So fun! Tomorrow we leave to do ministry in a new city about 2 hours from here. We will stay there for the rest of December while helping out a church with their children’s Christmas play, singing Christmas carols, prayer walking, etc. We are SO excited for the opportunity to celebrate Christmas in MALAYSIA!
