de·tour /’deto?or/ : A long or roundabout route that is taken to avoid something or to visit somewhere along the way.

As many of you know last summer I was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes, although I am doing better managing my numbers and eating habits there are certain necessities I need to ensure my health is maintained. The COVID-19 Pandemic has caused more countries to close their borders and or delay passage for days at a time. Because of this as a safety precaution to ensure my health needs are met, I am no longer traveling out of the country.

~Pausing so you have a moment to digest that information~

Instead, I will be doing ministry work in North Carolina for 12 months with the organization Excel. A community of Christ-followers committed to seeing the growth and development of the good, true, and beautiful in people, families, and communities. During this time I will be focusing on discipleship, health & wellness, education, practical & professional development, missions, and most important my spiritual development.

Although it was an emotional decision I want to go where God leads, so I took the time to pray and wait for Gods answer because His answer is always the right one!

I am doing great, keeping warm, and have what I need to continue the journey God has placed me on.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers! I will still continue to blog and keep you up to date on everything I am doing.

There is more to come and more to share!
