Hello lovely blog readers!!!  I wanted to share with you my support letter!  My letter tells a little bit of everything regarding my World Race journey: where I am going, what I might be doing on, prayer requests, and details about the financial support I am needing for the trip and ways you can give.

Happy reading!

Dear family and friends,

I hope you are doing well! I would like to take a moment to share with you what God has been doing in my life recently and where He is leading me in the near future.

For several years I have had a heart for missions and I was sensing God was leading me to journey with Him on a missions trip. I applied and I was accepted for a trip through Adventures in Missions (AIM) called The World Race. The trip is a unique one. The World Race takes adults aged from 21 to 35 to 11 different countries in 11 months to serve the Lord as He leads. Ministry on The World Race will likely look different from one day to the next. Some ministries that I might have the privilege to be a part of include, but are not limited to, helping those struggling with disease and sickness, caring for orphans and widows, working along side a local church, showing love to those trapped in human-trafficking, children ministries, sports ministries, and pub ministries.

The route I have been accepted on is route 4 for January 2014. The countries I will be traveling to and serving Jesus in are India, Nepal, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa, Ireland, Romania, and Ukraine. I will be in each country for about one month.

In order to go on this amazing trip I need to raise $15,500 (US). The money goes toward paying for my training camp, and all my housing, travel, and food while on the trip. I am very excited to be going on The World Race and my hope and prayer is that you will partner with me on this journey. I first ask that you would please partner with me through prayer. Please pray that God would prepare me in every necessary way for my journey (spiritually, mentally, funding, equipment, safety), for my fellow squad and team members, for the countries I will be traveling to, and for the people I will be ministering to. Secondly, I ask that you would partner with me financially. If you feel led to do so, there are a couple different options open for you.

  1. You can give a one-time gift by sending a cheque directly to AIM or online through my blog.

  2. You can give on a monthly basis online where you choose the amount you would like to give each month as well as a start and end date Fun fact: If 25 people give $50 a month for 12 months, I would almost be completely funded!

(Side Note: Unfortunately, Canadian supporters are not able to receive a tax-receipt for their

donation.)

If you would like to give by cheque directly to AIM, your cheque needs be written in US dollars to “Adventures In Missions” with my name on the memo line to ensure your gift goes to funding my trip. Please mail your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. If you would like to give with an online donation, you can visit my blog: kiraypma.theworldrace.org and click on the Support Me! link on the left side of the page and follow the instructions as directed.

I thank you in advance for your support and for your willingness to journey with me on this adventure of a lifetime! I am grateful for this opportunity and I am very excited to see what God has in store for me on this World Race journey.

May God bless you!

In Christ,

Kira Ypma
