As I have been starting my preparation for the World Race, there have been different ideas floating around my mind about what I expect to do and what I hope to learn while out on the World Race.

The “doing” aspect of the trip has my mind imagining all the kinds of ministries and experiences I may have the privilege to be a part of. I imagine playing with and teaching children and seeing their joy-filled smiles. I imagine praying over those who are sick and seeing God bring them their healing. I imagine helping build churches and schools to help support the work of local believers. I imagine looking into the eyes of girls trapped in sex-trafficking and just taking the time to listen to their stories and cries. I imagine playing soccer with the young and the old and having a blast by being able to use my passion for soccer to show others the love of Jesus.

I imagine…

I imagine that God may allow me to experience some or all of the things I have imagined doing while I am on this adventure, but I do believe that God is going to allow me and help me to do way more for His Kingdom than I could ever dream or imagine.

I am hoping to learn a lot while I am on the World Race too. I am hoping to learn to pray and believe that God will answer. I am hoping to learn to lean on God's strength and not my own to make it through all things. I am hoping to learn to open up to those God places beside me right from the start of my journey so to not seclude myself. I hope to learn to rest in God's grace and goodness, being confident that He knows what is best for me. I hope to learn to understand His Word better everyday. I hope to learn to step out of my comfort zone in faith knowing that God is holding my hand every single step of the way. I hope to learn to follow God with my whole heart, no matter what the road ahead may look like.

I am hoping to learn…

My prayer is that God will grant me these hopes and I am confident that He will. I am expecting Him to teach me all that I am hoping to learn while on the World Race, and also much, much more. He may not teach me in the way I expect Him too, but I am certain His ways are best. I will have to wait and see how He chooses to teach me! I am sure that God will teach me all I need to learn on this journey He is taking me on; He will not withhold anything from me.

Psalm 84:11

For the Lord God is a sun and shield;

The Lord will give grace and glory;

No good thing will He withhold

From those who walk uprightly.
