UPDATE:
I wrote this blog a few days ago, but wasn’t well enough to go into town to post it.  As of today, I am feeling like me again!  People have even said that!  I’ve heard, “You look like you.”  …weird compliment, but I think they’re right.  Sleeping & resting has been the order of almost everyday for the past week, but thankfully I have been able to partake in a few ministry events even though I am still not 100% better yet.  It has been encouraging to receive prayer during this time, aid from my fellow brothers & sisters in Christ & yet so humbling.  I thought at the start of this trip, “I willn’t get sick.  I never get sick.”  Boy-oh-boy, was I wrong!
Well, below is the story I wrote last Wed., so enjoy reading it & don’t forget tomorrow we leave Mexico for Guatemala!  I think it will be our first race 😉  (So we think) to Antigua.  Our team will be staying there for 5 weeks for some good old ministry, the details we don’t know yet–so my next blog will probably be us in Guatemala telling you what our job for the month will be.  Again, thanks for checking out my blog, I still can’t believe people care to read what I have to say.  If you want, leave me a post with your thoughts or a question even & be blessed!  I AM praying for you  =)

It’s day 5 of being sick.  I actually reached my breaking point about 5 minutes ago…so you just missed it!  Being sick has been for the following reasons:

It’s our first month here.
I move like a grandma.
I can’t do what I want to do…like run or play with the kids or even attend church.
I am exhausted after performing small tasks like refilling my water bottle.
I have nowhere to run to b/c I’m too tired to go anywhere.
Couldn’t talk to anyone from home b/c I wasn’t healthy enough to go into town.
5 days of not knowing what was wrong with me & thinking I was getting better.
Instead of eating what everyone else gets to eat during mealtime, I get a roll of bread.
No dairy.
No carbonated drinks.
No coffee.
No spicy food.
No volleyball.
Water & Gatorade are the only 2 drinks allowed.
0 Goodnights of sleep (w/out being disturbed by animals, not being able to fall asleep, waking up crying b/c my head hurts or I have to throw up)
Being asked by everyone, “How are you feeling?” (I know they all mean well.)

I saw the doctor today & after poking my stomach & drawing blood, he ruled that it isn’t Typhoid but a bacterial infection. aka Travelers Diarrhea w/out the Diarrhea, so I call it “Travelers”.  10 days of medicine, much rest, & a strict diet…I should be back to normal pretty soon.

I will end with the great parts about being sick:

I get to sit here & listen to my brothers & sisters next-door praise God in Spanish.  That’s the best!
I get to partake in His many blessings.  Ex. The family I am staying with has shown concern for me, told me to go to the doctor & even drove me to town to see one.
I get some rest w/the Lord.  He helped me finish a book =)
I have had some days reconnecting with my squad in Palenque (since my team is about 45 minutes outside the city).
I get to get humble…=/
