I’m sitting in my car recounting the bracelet money I collected at Falls Creek, thanks to the wonderful youth at FBC Choctaw, but I could’ve sworn I had $350 in the envelope. I sold 60 bracelets at camp and took $50 for change, so I’m not sure why I’m only counting $205 in it now. I stuff the envelope in my purse, nothing I can do about it now, and I proceed in to the Travel Clinic to get my Yellow fever shot and pick up the Typhoid pills.
While I’m sitting in the room, I ask the nurse how much these are going to cost, so far they’ve been really sketchy with giving me an answer, but I definitely need an answer before I proceed. She does some calculations and says yellow fever is $170 and typhoid $75….so I’m crunching numbers in my head, I’ve only got $205 in my wallet, I get paid on Friday, I'm on a super tight budget so some bill that’s due this week is going to have to get pushed to the back of the list, until my paycheck is deposited. I’m so bummed.
So I get the shot(I don’t pass out) and the receptionist is ringing me out, she say’s ‘okay, that’ll be two hundred and five dollars…” …I’m like ‘what?!?! Are you serious??!’ I can’t help but plant this huge cheesy smile on my face while thinking to myself, “Seriously God! You just made my day! And I love you too!”
I was starting to think all the financial miracle prayers I’ve obsessively been praying about the last month were just a huge failure, but God showed me today, and He planted a big ‘ol grin on this gals face too!
why of course I put together a big-ol-cheesy-grin montage for y'all!
…just part of the joys of being my blog subscriber!
