We are in Cambodia for our fourth month of the race! We live in the Overflow Guest House located just outside of Siem Reap. We are partnered with the lovely ladies of team I61 and the Adventures in Missions team here in Cambodia.
This month looks drastically different than last month. We went from life in the village without concrete walls to life in the city with nice beds, showers, wifi and western toilets (only on the the World Race do you distinguish the types of toilets).
Our purpose this month is to connect the guest house with ministries, non profit organizations or any contacts that will help develop the ministry here in Cambodia. We will also be going through evangelism training that will help our teams understand how to share the gospel most effectively with people around the city. Then we will go out and share!
We have done our research online, explored the city of Siem Reap and have prayed for the Lord to do big things as we go out in faith.
Pray that the Lord would move in Siem Reap. As I was walking through the streets the other day, the Lord put the word available on my heart. Right after, I walked up to a smoothie shop and met a man named Gabe who has been a missionary in Cambodia for three years. He has had a couple World Race teams partner with his wife and three daughters in their ministry of rescuing children.
The Lord wants to move this month, stay tuned for testimonies of God’s goodness.
Oh also, here is a video of my brave friend Katie and I eating a Tarantula. The Lord led us to this delicacy on one of our first excursions around the city. Let it be known, Katie was the brave one that night. I was ready to walk away several times.
