We are all searching for truth – what is factual, accurate, and real. During what we thought was going to be a quick bite to eat at Taco Bell, my team and I discussed The Truth with some fellow missionaries.

I invited the two Mormon missionaries to have lunch with us and we began to talk. One of the guys was from Texas and the other from Guatemala. We discussed our mission programs and how they ended up here. One of them opened the floor and asked,  “So what do you hear about Mormons? Do you have any questions?”

The conversation went from surface level to ocean deep fast. We discussed the purpose of baptism, heaven/ the kingdoms of glory as they refer to it, who has authority on earth, and the history of Mormonism. We discussed our beliefs backed with our interpretations of scripture. We disagreed with each other but were all challenged to dig deeper into what we believe to be truth.

I will not always see the harvest- people accept Christ, convert, or big monumental moments- but I aim to plant seed everywhere I go.

As we were parting ways, we prayed together. I asked God to guide them and us as we seek to know him. I prayed that He would teach us His truth and that we would live a life free of judgement but full of love and mercy.
