We arrived in Split Croatia on June 18, and we are excited and expectant for what God has for us in our time here. We know we are not here by accident, simply because of all the random things that got us here… when we were searching for places to stay we typed in every imaginable combination of words into the search bar on Air BnB and NOTHING came up in our price range, until one of the girls got an e-mail from someone she had been talking to sent her a link to houses on Air BnB with very specific search parameters and we ended up finding an apartment to stay in that is UNDER budget – and super cute.
On our first day here in Split we spent some time in Listening Prayer asking The Lord if there were specific things he had for us here and this is what we got
-
Church with steeple and sturdy cross
-
Sports Ministry
-
Joy
-
Pour into each other more
-
Go & Trust
After this we split up into teams and headed out to prayer walk to see if we got any more direction from The Lord. I got to go out with Shelby and we decided we were going to head to this little patch of green on the map. When we got to the patch of green it turned out to be a playground and we decided that it would be best to not sit and hangout there since there weren’t any adults around. As Shelby and I were looking at the map we noticed another little patch of green close by, so we headed in that direction… but as we were walking Shelby spotted some graffiti (she’s kind of a graffiti enthusiast) so we stopped in order for her to get a closer look and as we were standing there she noticed this kid with a soccer ball/just past the graffiti was a chain link fence and then a few other kids ran by, we immediately looked at each other and decided to head in the direction of the kids/fence. When we approached the fence we saw a soccer net and some basketball hoops, and as we got closer we saw this huge soccer court with a basketball court next to it (we think it was a school).
After our little adventure to the soccer/basketball court we decided we would just follow the patches of green on the map and see where they led us… and we ended up finding another patch where the were about 15 kids out playing kick ball. We then found a church with a steeple and Cross that could be seen from any angle that just happened to have a small soccer court and playground across the street.
Overall it was a really great day and we got to cover this city in prayer!

Fundraising Update
I am currently sitting at $15,037 raised which puts me $2,363 away from my final deadline of $17,400!
Last week my mom held a fundraiser at Chick-fil-A for me and it sounds like there was a great turn out… I don’t yet know how much was raised from food sales (we are waiting for the check).
I know that I am supposed to be here on The Race and that God is going to continue to use me to do some really incredible things the rest of this year… but I can’t be her and be apart of those things if I don’t get the rest of the money raised.
So I ask you to prayerfully consider how much you can donate today and then click that donate button at the top of this blog… any amount helps me get one step closer to my goal, even just $1!!
Also stay tuned for my 1/2 way Q&A blog in the next couple of days!
