Refilwe is locted in Lanseria, just outside of Johannesburg South Africa. It serves about 50,000 people from the surrounding community. Many of the people come from the nearby squatter camps that surround Refilwe.

Refilwe means “gift” in Tswana, one of the local languages. Their focus is on spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through providing practical help for critical needs such as medicine, child care/education, skills training, and more. Reliwe is a Non-Profit Public Benefit Organisation.

The clinic provides spiritual, physical, and emotional help through TB treatment and extensive ARV (Anti Retroviral) programs and counseling. Limited primary healthcare is also provided, along with some dental and eye care.

The day care center provides stimulation and healthy early childhood devolpement for children from the local community. The children are also provided nutritious meals to promote physical health and wellness.

The God Parent project provides homes where orphans and vulnerable children can be cared for spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The God Parents (Foster Parents) provide a safe and secure environment where each child can grow up with a sustainable vision for their own lives. These God Parents are commited to caring for the children until they are 18 years of age.

The Life & Specific Skills Developement program promotes a healthy self-image and accountability to ensure that the skills taught are used for the advancement of the students, their famalies, and their communities. The trainees are encouraged to form groups of 5 who are then trained and supported in starting and running small businesses.

This community project has proved to successful and valuable to the communities it serves, and to the advancement of the Kingdom of God. If you would like to learn more about the project, or if you would like to support the work they are doing, you can get more details by visiting their website at
