There are many boards in many rooms that forever capture the memory of the victims of the Khmer Rouge here at the s21 torture prison. From the child soldiers and the guards forced into service by threat to their families and themselves, and of course all of those who were tortured and killed by the hands of their captives. These are just a few of the faces that caught my eye as they stared back at me with empty eyes. This is for those of you who may never have a chance to come and see for yourself the horror that ripped this country apart. I hope that your eyes are opened as mine were, and that it will help you understand the effects of our own freedom on other countries. I know that I left here more greatful for the freedom and liberty I often take for granted.
