This is a momument over “Old Yunguy”.
Yunguy was wiped out by a giant glacier from Mount Huascaran. Thousands of people were burried under the slide. The town was never excavated. This momument was built in memory of the lives lost to the glacier. The new Yunguy was built a few miles to the left to aviod future catastropies. Yunguy is one of the bigger towns in the mountains were we often went to use the interenet. It is about half and hour away from Musho and Tumpa.
