Well, I have begun a new chapter of my adventure in missions. Last Monday, I packed up all my belongings into my Jeep and began the long drive across country with my friend Amy Jo. It was great to have a whole week together, and we saw lots of fun places and met up with friends and family along the way. About 5 ½ days and 3870 miles later, we arrived in Gainesville, Georgia; my new home.

We moved into my temporary home with one of the AIM staff families. Amy Jo had two days to visit friends in the office and nearby before I had to drop her off at the airport to go home to work and school. I am very glad we had that time together. It was sad to say good-bye to a good friend.

I have had a hard time adjusting to the idea of living here. It has been much more difficult than I expected it to be. When I was here in January to do my training, I fit right into the office and it instantly felt like home. This time, I feel out of place. Not because I don’t feel at home with the office crew, but because I am not yet able to join them. Since I am only at 10% of my goal for monthly support, I will have to find a different job to support me while I continue to work on support raising. That is very discouraging. I really want to be able to do the work that I came to do, but I need to have money to live on.

My host family has been generous in giving me a place to stay while I look for a job, but I can’t stay forever. Most of my days have been spent panning over the job listings on the internet and filling out job applications. My Jeep has suffered a little from the long drive and is in desperate need of service, and I’m sure that will cost more than a little. All of these things can really bring me down if I let them. But I know that I am here for a purpose, and I believe God knows what He is doing so I choose to put my trust in Him.

That being said, I would still like to rally up the troops to pray for the floodgates to open. Pray that God will provide the perfect job that will provide the income I need and give me the flexibility to cut back to part-time when I have enough support to begin working at AIM full-time. Also pray that God will expand my base of contact here so that I can find more partners to support my ministry. And please pray about whether or not you could be one of those partners. I need lots of prayer partners, and I hope that most of you will at least do that. But without financial partners, I cannot do the work I was sent here to do.

I understand that many of you don’t have money tress growing in your yard, but I would like to ask you to consider even a small monthly donation. When the widow gave her mite, Jesus said it was more valuable than all of the other offerings. Even if you can only commit to $5 or $10 dollars a month, I encourage you to do that. Not only will it help me reach my financial goals, but it will also give you a vested interest in this ministry. I believe that when you invest in something, you take it much more seriously. I believe that those who donate are more likely to pray regularly and follow the updates because they know they are a part of what is happening.

If you cannot, or do not feel led to contribute financially, I still want your partnership in prayer. I absolutely cannot do anything without your prayer covering. I am already hitting a lot of opposition and discouragement and I am only serving at a limited capacity. The opposition will only increase as I am able to serve more. I need and want you as part of my prayer team.

If you want to make a donation but have not received a reply card, please email me your address and I will send one to you right away. Donations can also be made via credit card through this web site. Just click on the support me link on the left side of the screen. If you would like to be on my mailing list for future updates, please email me your address and email address.

Thank you for all of your prayers and support in the past, and I hope you will continue on this journey with me. I pray that God will multiply all of your blessings back to you.
