I just wanted to let everybody who has been praying know that Alex is doing better. When they went to visit yesterday he was talking and able to eat, so they discharged him. It seems a little early to me for a gunshot wound, but I know things are a little different in the hospitals there.

The other guys did not want him to go home to his house, so he will be staying with one of them until things settle down and he is in better condition. Please continue to pray for him. Even though he is not in the hospital, the dangers are not nearly over. Please pray against infection or any other complications that could occur.

It sounds like the violence has settled some, at least in their area. The protest that got canceled on Monday is rescheduled for this coming Tuesday. So pray that it will be a peaceful event, and that the voices of the poor and oppressed will  be heard and that justice will prevail in Kenya.

Thank you so much for all of your concern and prayers on behalf of my friends. This is what it means to be one body. When one hurts, we all hurt and pull together. A strand of three cords is not easily broken.

Praise God for His faithfulness and mercy. May His glory rise up in Kenya, and in hearts everywere as we stand together.
