Picture yourself in Dublin…you’re staying at a hostel down town and getting ready to head off to your ministry site in northern Ireland. When, all of a sudden there is no ministry site to go to… What to do? Everyone starts scouring the internet looking for a place to sleep in Belfast that you can afford. They find a big fat nothing. Nada. Zilch. You start to think to yourself that homelessness could be quite the adventure when out of the blue God drops the sweetest gig this side of Eden right into your lap. And not just sweet compared to the bridge you were contemplating living under, I’m talking MTV cribs sweet. That’s what happened to us here in Northern Ireland. A friend of a friend of one of our leaders just “happenedâ€ to work at a church in the middle of belfast who “happenedâ€ to have a house attached to their CATHEDRAL where we could stay for FREE. And he “happenedâ€ to know of a ton of sweet ministries that he could hook us up with for the month. It has been incredible. Seriously. It’s both the big things (free housing/general awesomeness) and the little ones (I was cold at night and a prayed for a thrift store to buy a blanket at and some random woman brought a blanket by out of the blue) that the Lord is blessing us with here that are so amazing. I’m almost embarrassed by how good the people have been to us. We’re supposed to be serving THEM, remember? I could get used to this… I’m hoping that belfast hasn’t seen the last of me!
