Last night…

I’m pretty sure it was one of the best nights I’ve had in a really long time.

It started out with going to the final night of launch in Gainesville. Joshua (P squad leader and Z squad leader) found me and pulled me to the side. He needed one last chat before he left the next day to lead an amazing group of young adults. It was just like old times. God is so good in giving us the words we need to encourage, especially when your friends need some life poured into them!

After praying for him and walking back to the nights session, I thought about how proud of him I was! But it was time for the prophetic activation teaching and response. Caroline spoke and was great, as always. We then had the participants speak words of life over each other. First they spoke to each other, then we had them get together in teams and declare the truth of God over the nations that they are going to.

As they spoke words of truth over the nations, alumni P squadders got together and started declaring truth over the participants. It’s like I could feel the intensity of the presence of God rising moment by moment.

Joshua then got up and asked the squads to come together one last time and pray for each other, so that they could go out in unity. Even though they are flying in opposite directions (Z squad to the Philippines and A squad to Romania) they are united as the family of God and going to do His work. So they began to pray.

Alumni were at the back of the room chatting quietly, when all the sudden the squads began a low humming. It grew louder. It was an unknown song that they were ALL singing perfectly in harmony. The presence of God was so thick that every staff person stopped in the middle of what they were saying and turned and stared at the squads, chills running down my body.

As the humming continued to grow louder, one of the men in the middle of the Racers began to sing loudly over the humming. His praise and worship of God overcame us all. They all began to sing songs to the Lord and laughter erupted. Then just as the beautiful music began to fade, they started singing an African worship song together. AAAHHH…it was SO GOOD!!!!

Nights like that are not an every night occurrence, but man when it happens, I love being in the middle of it! Then, I got to hug and say goodbye to two of the squads that I have been mobilizing for half a year. But it wasn’t sad goodbyes it was a joyous time of thank you’s, blessings and prayers! It was so good for my heart!

Later that night, when I went home, I couldn’t come down from the excitement in my spirit. I could only think about the greatness of this Almighty God that I serve and the blessings He has given me in this new season of my life! Praise God!
