My love for the Colts shines through at times. Like last Sunday, when even though they were not playing, I was wearing my jersey showing my support. I talked about the Colts and certain players that make them the team that they are. I would cheer and hoot everytime the Colts were mentioned. I soon found out that not everyone in the house appreciated my enthusiasm, not everyone is a Colts fan. Through the week we have talked about our love for our indiviadul teams and planned to watch the divisional playoff games this weekend. Just hours before the game we discussed whether we would still be friends after the outcome…we are still friends, but only because it was my birthday:)!. Others in the house, who were not attached to either team, decided who they would cheer for. Those who were not cheering for the Colts would usually say sorry and I would shrug my shoulders and let them know that I didn’t care who they cheered for. My choice was set and it didn’t matter the number of other fans cheering, I would not be swayed. Last night as the Colts fought their way to victory I sat quietly watching as usual. Nothing I could do would help them win, though I did cheer everytime they made a great play.

Like my love for the Colts, our love for God should shine through in all parts of our lives. When we love something or someone, we talk about them. We cheer when we hear of their attributes being mentioned. People around us will bicker and complain. People will not always appreciate the fact that you are enthusiastic about our great God. Some may be very straight forward about their dislike for God and others just never choose a side and are complacent about who wins the battle. But being offended is never an option. God does not need our defense. He is a Mighty God and will win with or without our applaus. I am a witness to the greatness of God and how he moves in the big and in the small things. He will be victorious.

Go Colts!
