We have arrived in Africa! We spent the first couple nights in JoBurg at a hostel. It was a really nice place to stay, but it is cold here! Coming from Asia where it is 100+ degrees and being here where it is the middle of winter is a drastic change! I had to go out and buy some winter clothes! At night we have bundled up in sweatshirts, hats, gloves, scarves and anything else we can get our hands on! I have had a lot more snuggle time with the girls since being in Africa! Everyone has told us that once we get to Mozambique that it will be much better, even by as much as 20 degrees!
I have found out that my team will be in the bush. We will be working with a some missionaries that have many contacts with orphanages. We will also be showing the Jesus film. There will be a city nearby for our days off, so I should be able to get to the internet every once in a while, but please have patience with me while I’m here. I might not have much time to post my blogs!
