Swatdee kah (hello)

Thailand was definitely a drastic change from Africa. We went from mud huts and dirt roads to malls and paved roads. A major life adjustment was in place.

My ministry for the month was unsung heroes. We had the opportunity to meet so many people and partner with a couple ministries. I spent some time with Japanese students learning about the culture of Thailand then enjoyed a Korean style BBQ.

I spent 2 days with this family. Wanida was just starting a home for these kids. Many of them are from abusive homes or were abandoned and she took them in. They were such sweet kids.

I helped paint a mural in a music room at an afterschoool program while some teammates taught english and played games with the kids.

Played soccer with the kids in the slums and visited the munks at the temple.

I also got to do some fun stuff during my birthday month like ride elephants, bamboo rafting and petting tigers!

We had to walk through a river to go do ministry on most days, but you know that’s how it is during monsoon season in Asia. Lol. Needless to say Thailand was pretty great!

Stay Blessed!

Kim
