Greeting from AFRICA!!!!!!!!

I cannot tell you how exciting it is to be here! It is HOT! Which means I will probably not rock the Jays much this month but lets get to how they did in Albania.

They worked REAL HARD. I mean, they Worked!!! Albania was all about getting a camp into shape and ready to receive the kids for the summer season. 5 of the 6 teams on the squad were there working and we all worked hard. There will be another world race team coming in the summer to help with the kids. We were the work crew. Needless to say, we did a tremendous job. Our host was very impressed and pleased with all the work we did. This spoke wonders since he was a very strict man and kinda hard to please.

Meet George. He’s actually pretty great and said to me in his very British accent “I like your leadership style”… #winning 🙂

A big part of my job was lime washing aka white washing. This meant being covered in white paint at the end of the day… no worries, it was washable.

There were days that were too hot to rock the Jays so I sometimes worked in sandals (those days were few, lets be real, it’s still Europe).

Here are some of the things we completed as a squad:

Plastering cracks and holes in the walls

Shoveling tons and tons of pig and chicken poop

Installing a pipe to move that pig poop down to the river

Weeding everywhere

Cleaning the pool out

Reorganizing two warehouses

Cleaning out thousands and thousands of empty ice cream containers

Washing cars

Setting up an obstacle course

Preparing a rock wall for climbers

Castrating and vaccinating pigs

Sanding and re-staining door after door

Fundraising Update: currently at $12,156. Still need to raise $4,097. MANY THANKS to everyone who has supported my race. Both financially and through prayer. Final deadline is July 1st. If you’d like to keep me on the race and not get sent home, would you prayerfully consider supporting me? You can Donate Here

Stay Blessed
