Just an announcement, I AM Finally FULLY FUNDED!!! Yay!! Thank you to all who made this possible. I love you and may God bless you richly for how you have blessed me and the people I get to work with each day. Now a little blog for fun 🙂

You know your half way through the World Race When:

You decide to go without washing your hair as a means to keep from catching the ‘head pets’ aka lice that your friends have.
You don’t have to take pics of every single little thing, like tuk tuks, or people riding 4 deep on a moped, cuz this is just real life now. Its normal.
You get so used to not looking in the mirror, that when you finally do, you think “oh, that’s what I look like.” Or “hello sexy. Its been a while!”
You always carry around extra toilet paper every day, and maybe a spare pair of underwear…cuz you just never know!! Poo happens. (But not to me, yet!)
You don’t bathe I’m germ-x anymore. A lil dirt, no biggie.
Smelly kids? Eh, who cares, love ’em anyways.
Smelly teammates, on the other hand… You ain’t afraid to say, “Take a shower dude!”
There’s really no such thing as a taboo conversation subject with your teamies…poop, bodily functions, odor, “front bottoms” as Kagan says, just whatever.
At some point, when you make it to a fairly traditional church with mostly whiteys (white people), you think it is kind of… boring? Especially after having been to Africa and Nepal.
You get much more thrifty. Spending $15 on a meal sounds like a fortune.
You forget what it feels like to drive a car.
Air conditioning is a fine luxury.
You find souvenirs and gifts for people back home stuffed in every pocket and empty space of your pack.
You get really good at communicating to those who don’t speak your language, while always looking and sounding amusing/entertaining to those who do.
You still live by the motto, “Do as the Locals Do.”
You finally got this haggling thing down!
Hand washing your laundry seems normal, so anytime you get the chance to use a washer/dryer is special.
You look at old pics of yourself wearing clothes you left back in the states that you forgot you had, and get excited to go back and wear them. Its going to be like Christmas, without even having to buy anything!
You never ever pass up free stuff.
You consider your team more like a cute little dysfunctional family than just friends, and debrief is like an extended family reunion.

Your pumped and ready for five more months of this amazing adventure that is our daily life!! Don’t ever let it become ordinary.
