We all have people in our life we’re thankful for, and probably more than we could easily write about, but here are a few staple peeps in my life I’m Thankful for…in no specific order…
I am thankful for my nanny who does so much for me, like making french toast early in the morning and cleaning up my mess when I dump powdered sugar everywhere.
I’m thankful for my pops, who loves me no matter what, and would do anything for me. He is by no means perfect, as none of us are but he is one of the only men in my life who have always been there for me. He’s taught me to do so many things, like a ride horse, play guitar, train dogs, shoot a bow, build stuff and use power tools, real world stuff that every girl should know 😉
I am also thankful for another awesome man in my life, my hero and uncle Jeremiah aka Bubba. He taught me to draw, and just how to be cool in general. He holds a special place in my heart. Plus we have rockin jam sessions.
I’m thankful for my heroine, my mommy. She has been the personification of strength in my life, and an amazing mother and friend. My favorite times are when we get to laughing and just being giggly.
I’m thankful for a person who has been truly inspiring to me, and taken me in as their own: my cousin Richie. He is so near and dear to my heart, I wish every weekend was an “awesome possum weekend” 🙂
I am thankful for my sisters and the sheer joy they have brought into my life. I am thankful for my step dad Randy, and how every time he introduces me, he just calls me his daughter, he just claims me as his own. I am thankful for my best friend Deidre, cuz no matter how far apart we are, she is always my best friend and got my back, I love her like a sister.
There are a whole awful lot of people I am thankful for but these are just a few I felt I needed to point out. I saved the best to tell you last though, even though he is first in my heart. I am thankful for my best friend who never leaves me and loves me unconditionally… nope, its not my dog Lola, it is my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I realized the other day that he gave his whole life for me, and in return he wants my whole life, not just a piece or a part of it. Equally, he desires my whole heart, not a piece of it that I have left over after giving the rest away to undeserving men throughout the years. He wants all of it, even if I bring it broken. The good part is he is our great physician and he will take the pieces, put them back together, and mend them in a way more beautifully than ever before. He is amazing and wonderful and my one true love. I am so exceedingly thankful for my relationship with him and pray that it grows all the more throughout this next year.
