So,

In about a month,  I will be leaving the country. January 9th to be exact. Leaving all that I know in this comfortable life I lead. Leaving my cozy cute studio apartment on the campus I have come to love and call home. Leaving behind family, friends. Leaving behind this scholastic chapter of my life, moving on to the next one, in the “Real World” as we like to call it, embarking on adventure.

Many people ask me, “Are you nervous?” Well, I am tons more thrilled and excited than I am nervous. More than that, it feels so surreal, like a dream, you know, pinch me to make sure it is really happening!! It’s like I am finally beginning my life, and have seized the amazing opportunity to live out my dreams of following Jesus to the nations and living abroad. I think a lot of people are too afraid to live out their true dreams, of breaking the regular and expected, to do something that could be truly amazing. Well I want to tell you, DON’T BE AFRAID!! Let your life be an adventure. You get the choice to live life to it’s fullest every day, even in the small things, but you will only die once, and you don’t know when. It might be scary at first, making that decision to do something that may seem a little strange and/or crazy to others, but it will be the most liberating thing once you get to actually live it out.

I have learned a lot in this past season of my life, this last semester. Mostly about being present. In whatever chapter of life I find myself in, I have learned the importance of embracing it, and whatever lessons God is trying to teach you through it. Don’t wish your days away hoping for something you think will be better. Embrace the now, even if it seems crappy or unsatisfying, there is always something significant that can come of it. Take in each day as a gift, even the smallest of things.

As these chapters of my life come to a close, I am filled with a bittersweet feeling, looking back on all the wonderful, crazy, and even the dull memories, and thankful for all them, and for all the people who exist in them. I look forward with anticipation the next chapter, and the people who I will get to experience this adventure with, the people I will very soon (if not already 🙂 call Family. In the meantime, hope to get some relaxation in during the holidays and these next few weeks of the transition.

I graduate college this weekend. Saturday December 14!! Woo-Hoo!! I made it

Love yall.
