Before I left on the World Race, and even while on the race, I dreaded going to India. In month three, we had a route change where three of our countries were changed. Unfortunately, India still remained a part of our route. I don’t know exactly why I didn’t want to go. I wasn’t too excited about the food options or the dress code, but I think I just knew in the back of my mind that India was going to be a challenging month. It was going to involve a lot of getting out of my comfort zone…and my flesh enjoys being comfortable!

After we got to India, we found out what our ministry was going to be. My stomach dropped a few feet. We were doing village ministry. This meant door to door visits and preaching the Gospel to one of the most unreached people groups in the world. Though this sounded like an awesome opportunity (and was), my first reaction was panic because public speaking is something I’m not a fan of. However, it ended up being one of the best months on the race because I was able to fully rely on the Holy Spirit and realize what He’s equipped me with. He’s empowered me to share the Gospel with everyone, but I have to be willing to be used. My month in India was all about stepping out of my comfort zone into a place of full surrender to what the Lord had for me.
