Who spends the morning with the Pope?? We did….Kind of! We were going to the Vatican before we left Rome this morning and when we got there, there was a HUGE crowd of people. As we got closer, we had to put our bags through security and go through turnstiles. We knew something big was happening. The Pope was speaking. Although, we did not understand anything he said we really enjoyed our morning with the Pope.

After listening to the Pope, we headed towards the Vatican Museum (with everyone else in Rome). We waited in line for a few hours before we finally entered the Museum. We walked and looked at all the old sculptures (Jessica and I are not the biggest fan of museums, but we actually enjoyed this one). The highlight was the Sistine Chapel (of course). We just stood and stared at the ceiling (which was difficult due to my stiff neck….I can really tell that I am 26). We grabbed seats when they became available and the three of us read scripture together. There is something really cool about reading from the bible in the Sistene Chapel looking at the paintings of the Life of Christ. WOW!!!
We are now on our way to Florence. I will try my best to keep in touch. Take care!!
