Ni Hau…Hello in Chinese. I cannot say that I am learning a lot of Chinese. I am finding it VERY difficult. It sure is fun trying though! I carry around a little phrase book, but I think it is causing more trouble than it is helping.
We spent a few days in Hong Kong where we got our China visa’s. Once that process was finished, we had free reign of Hong Kong. Sarah Rinn, Sarah’s friend, Ashley, and I WALKED all of Hong Kong one day. It was the highlight of my time in Hong Kong. We shopped, we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, we went to the peak (beautiful view of the city), we found the longest escalator we have ever seen, we went to the Avenue of the Stars, we watched a light show, and we went to the Hong Kong museum. WHAT A DAY!! We had such a great time together. We were very thankful for our time in Hong Kong. Next time I am in Hong Kong, I am going to DISNEYLAND!

For the past 36 hours of my life I have been on a train from Hong Kong to Northern China. Chugga Chugga Choo Choo. The train ride was interesting. We each had a bed and about 2 feet of space beside the bed. We all had to stay on our beds because there was no space to do anything else. I slept a lot, read a lot, and played cards…A LOT!! It was actually quite fun…who would have thought?? I think whenever all 30 of us are together it is going to be a good time.

Now, we are here in Northern China where it is FREEZING. This is really cold for a FLORIDA girl. I think this is the coldest I have ever been in my entire life. I am so bundled up, I can barely move. We are all settled in our hotel, where we are very thankful for showers and REAL toilets (story for another time).
Thank you all for your prayers. I couldn’t do this without you all. Take Care and STAY WARM!!!
