Hi.  Well….if you have already checked out the Blue Team´s page (which I suggest you do) you will find out that we won the first leg of the World Race.  Our team dynamics are awesome and all of our strengths have been very evident.  We arrived this morning in Palenque! I think if the trip here was a race, we would have won again.  We made great time…thanks to Miguel…our temporary team member.  He had no fear asking directions!! So we arrived and found our contact..Francisco.  We picked him up in town and then drove 40 minutes straight up a mountain…poor El Savador (our van).  We are staying with a Pastor and his family in their cute home.  The boys are sleeping the living room (Chad gets the hammock) and the girls are sleeping the bedroom where there are 4 beds!!!  It is going to be a tight squeeze for two weeks, but I couldn´t ask for a better group of people to squeeze with!!  We have only spent a few hours there, but I have already played with a few kids in the area.  Most of them have only seen a “gringo” (white person) on television.  The kids also play with Machettee´s (no idea how to spell that one).  I am not going to lie and say that I was a little scared earlier when two girls walked by carrying them.  I then found out that was typical and they are safe..whewww!!  Now we are here at a little internet cafe in Palenque catching up on our communication.  Since we are 40 minutes from “town” we are not expecting to be able to update this page as often as we would like.  We have to take really good care of our van…it has to make it at least 7000 more miles.  I can´t wait to see what God is going to do in the two weeks here in Mexico.  I am super excited and will update the masses as soon as possible.  Dios te Bendiga!!!  By the way…I am learning a ton of EspaÑol.  It is defintely true when they say you learn it when you are immersed in the culture.  Adios!!!
