Oh my gosh…as I sit here and type this I can hardly feel my fingers or my toes. I am sitting inside in an internet cafe and I am still frozen, that is how cold it is.
Let me back up a bit for you all…we left Sunday morning early and walked about 2 and a half miles to the bus station. This was a very painful walk since my luggage weighs so much. We then boarded a bus that took us to the border and there boarded another bus that took us to a hotel near the train station. There we hung out until we were kicked out for looking like bums at a 5 star hotel. We then took cabs to the train station and waited there to board our train to “Atlantis”…where I am now.
Our train ride was interesting to say the least. I think the crew on the train was very overwhelmed wih 27 white people carrying so much luggage and speaking zero chinese. We all found our bunk beds and settled in and made it our home for the next 36 hours. It wasn’t so bad. We found all kinds of ways to past the time, by reading, playing cards, sleeping, playing the guitar, having meetings, and just hanging out with each other.
This was the first time the Americans and South Africans got to travel together, so it was fun for us all.
We are here in Atlantis and it is freezing. When we arrived we had to catch cabs that took us to another place to catch the “black cars” these are the long distant cabs. They brought us here to where we are staying. It is so cold here. It is snowing!!!!
We are looking forward to our ministry time here. Please keep lifting us up. There are huge huge strong holds here. The enemy definately has ground. Please lift us up daily as we break down those strongholds and take this land back. It rightfully belongs to us.
Sorry this is so short and scattered brained. My computer has knocked me off twice already…I will try to do better later.
We are racing tomorrow. Then Thursday the teams are going out into the different parts of Atlantis to minister. Then meeting up again for a day of rest. Then traveling 36 hours on a bus to Jade Tree. We will be there for 6 days and then travel all the way back to Hong Kong and then to Thailand. (Just a quick over view.)
